Welcome to Music Tech Teacher
This site is an extension of the music technology classroom at Central Park School in Birmingham, AL. I have been teaching Instrumental Music since 1992. I created the Music Technology Lab using my band storage room in 1997. In November of 2007, we moved the lab to a larger 14' x 20' room. My 2nd through 5th grade students are learning to read, write, compose and publish their music to CD's and the Internet. Student work, pictures and music compositions are on this site. The site is also used to provide music technology links, quizzes, resources and information to all music teachers interested in using technology to enhance music instruction. As I teach in-services to our school music teachers, I will post notes and handouts. I hope that the site will serve as a valuable resource for teachers and students.
I was very happy to serve as the TI:ME Teacher of the Year in 2006. We had 340,000 visitors to this site in 2007. Thank you for visiting!

Ms. Garrett moved the music technology lab into a new space in November of 2007. The room is a 14' x 20' room that has been converted to an 8-station Music Tech Lab.
