The Lansky Composer-in-Residence Project with Central Park School

Sept. 18 |Nov. 5| Concert at the Symphony on May 21, 2010

We are so excited to have Paul Lansky as our composer-in-residence this year as a project through the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Meaghan Heinrich, Education Manager for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, invited us to participate in the project. Our students will be writing music compositions throughout the year. Mr. Lansky will give support and guidance to the students as they write their compositions. At the end of May, students will perform their compositions before an Alabama Symphony Orchestra concert. Some of the students projects, along with partial transcripts from the sessions, will be posted on our website later this year. Pictures from our first session are posted below.
